Seems Like Old Times is a two-hour music program hosted by Craig Orndorff that celebrates the golden era of popular music – from the standards to the beloved pop hits, to jazz and swing performed by the big bands and great singers. But the show is not just about the past, it features present-day performers, too. Each Show Features “The Top Ten” – a countdown of the top records from the weekend of a selected year… from the 30’s to the 60’s!  It’s a trip down memory lane with headlines and the lifestyle of the day, with audio clips from news, movies, classic commercials and more. “The Showcase” – an artist, album or theme featured throughout the show. “Performing Now” – one of today’s artists who is keeping the great music alive.

About Craig

Craig Orndorff’s radio career began in 1987, and since then he has hosted a number of morning shows and provided local sports play-by-play, winning awards for both. The love of music has always been a major part of his life. In his youth he played the saxophone and piano, and sang (and continues to sing) in church choirs. Even though Craig grew up on pop and country hits of the 70s and 80s, he always had an affinity for the big band sound and the charm of the classic singers. As a teenager, he discovered “The Swingin’ Years” hosted by legendary broadcaster Chuck Cecil. That show was a major influence on Craig as he developed his own style. Others radio voices who had a professional impact were Don Kennedy, Fred Hall and Casey Kasem. Craig’s career has spanned the media, doing voiceovers, writing for newspapers as both a reporter and columnist, and working in television as an anchor, reporter and even a fill-in weatherman. Today, in addition to hosting Seems Like Old Times, Craig produces daily local sports reports for five stations in the Shenandoah Valley.
