Little rain for 3 weeks
(Clinton) -- Monday's sprinkles didn’t amount to much rain.
Clinton area weather observer Jim Blaess says the rain total was .04 or four-hundredths of an inch.
He says that brings the month’s total to 3.25 inches and 3.2 inches of that total came in the first seven days of the month and no significant rain for three weeks.
Also in the weather news-Sunday’s official high of 94 tied the record for the date of May 27th. Clinton area weather observer Jim Blaess says the record was first set in 1914.
He says that makes 3 days so far this month with temperatures into the 90’s and the 30 year average is zero to one day with highs in the 90’s.
