From October 1st - November 15th, the City of Clinton will allow open burning for those with lots one acre or larger on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays between the hours of: 10 AM – 5 PM. Piles should not be burned larger than 3 feet in diameter and 2 feet high.
The hours have been announced for the City of Clinton’s compost facility on 2nd Avenue South, west of Mill Creek Parkway. The compost facility will be open on Saturdays from 8 am – Noon beginning October 20th through November 10th, 2012. Residents will be allowed access to the site to dispose of unbagged or bagged leaves and/or garden waste at no cost. No trees, branches or tree limbs will be accepted.
