Meetings this week

(Clinton) -- There are number of school board and city council meetings this week-here is the tentative schedule

The Clinton County Board has their usual Monday morning (Monday) business session at 9:15 at the County Administration Building.

The Clinton Community School Board will meet at 5 p.m. today (Monday) at the Administration Center. They will be reviewing financial information concerning the construction of a new Clinton Middle school and if modifications to the plan are needed.

Fulton City Council members will meet at 5:30 this evening (Monday) at City Hall. An executive session will be held to discuss the purchase or real estate or property as part of the session.

The River Bend School Board meeting will begin at 6:30 this evening (Monday) in the Fulton district office. Board members will discuss and review transportation costs in the District for the 2011-2012 school year. The Board will also discuss the Fulton High School schedule and whether it will be block or a daily schedule.

Board members will also begin looking at budget projections and choices for the 2014 school year.

A closed session is on the agenda for the purpose of discussing matters concerning the employment, appointment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees of the specific body and Pending Litigation.

Members of the Camanche School Board will meet at 7:30 this evening (Monday) at the Administrative Center.

Superintendent Tom Parker will report to the Board; they will also discuss a proposal for a student trip to Europe. Board members will also review the certified annual report for 2011-2012, plus reports on facilities, elections and sales tax.

The board of the Eastern Iowa Community College District meets tonight (Monday) in their monthly business session. The board oversees the Clinton Community College, Scott and Muscatine Community Colleges.

The Clinton City Council’s Internal Operations Committee meets Tuesday morning. Some staffing issues are on the agenda including worker’s compensation, a template for the evaluation of the city administrator and city attorney positions and staffing levels of comparable cities.

Members of the Camanche City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. A public hearing will be held on a proposed lease agreement with A-D-M regarding the Camanche Marina. They will also discuss a donation to the Tourism Director position for Clinton County.

Members of the Clinton City Council will meet as a “Committee of the Whole” at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Council chambers at City Hall. They will review sewer rates, a long-term control plan, and waste water infrastructure.

Members of the Northeast School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Elementary Library. They will be informed of the certified enrollment report. They will consider personnel matters and open enrollment requests.

The Board of Directors for the Clinton County Area Solid Waste Agency will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Solid Waste Agency. Executive director Brad Seward will update the Board on the Jackson County Transfer station fire and waste disposal.
