Meetings this week

(Clintoj) -- School board and council meetings highlight the schedule this week-here's the tentative list of meetings for this week.

The Clinton County Board of Supervisors have their regular Monday session at 9:15 in the Board Office of the County Administration building.

Starting at 9:30 a.m. the Board will discuss security at the Clinton County courthouse. At 11:15 a.m. the Board will discuss the development of a wind farm in Clinton County.

There will be an informational meeting Monday evening, at 6 p.m., in the Supervisors’ office; this will cover by Union Pacific Railroad to relocated infrastructure in near Low Moor in Drainage District 20.

Members of the Clinton Community School Board will meet as a “Committed of the Whole” at 5:30 this evening (Monday) in the Clinton Administration Center. The Board will be updated by John Jorgensen on the School District Improvement Advisory Committee to discuss district goals. They will consider a request from the Athletic Boosters to seek bids for new field turf at the high school stadium.

Board members will also discuss the recent district climate survey which was given to all district employees in September.

Tuesday is the regular meeting of the Clinton City Council. The business meetings sarts at 7 pm at city hall.

Among the few business items the council will consider awarding a contract for a study of cost of service and rate study for garbage collection.

The Council will also meet as a “Committee of the Whole” after the regular council meeting. They will discuss changes to the employee health insurance plan and waiver of coverage.

The council will also discuss the Animal Protection Ordinance.

The Clinton City Council’s City Services Committee meets Wednesday at 1:30. The committee will review more details of the development of an operations center and lab at the new waster water treatment plant, an update on the demolition of properties and an update on repairing street lights.

The Riverbend Schools Building and Grounds Committee meets on Thursday at 8 A-M to discuss various facility and maintenance issues in the Fulton, Illinois based school district.
