On the meeting schedule this week is a special meeting of the Clinton City Council this morning to discuss the performance of City Administrator Jeffrey Horne. The City Administrator has been on leave for the past few weeks for personal reasons-with no other details being issued.
The council meets at 10 o’clock this morning (Monday) in the special session. The discussion may be closed – but the agenda notes there may be action after any discussion and that would occur in open session. Agenda states there will be no audience comment

The mayor said there was little that could be said publicly at this time.

On Monday evening the Clinton School Board will meet their regular monthly business session. Among the items on the agenda is a proposal to approve moving ahead with the next step to seek bids for the new middle school facility. The board will also consider the continuation of the Instructional Support Levy and an early retirement incentive for employees.
The meeting is at 5:30 at the Washington Middle School.

The Clinton Library Board is scheduled to meet Tuesday in their monthly meeting. That meeting is at 5:15 at the Library.

Tuesday is the regular business meeting of the Clinton City Council.
The council will consider the first approval of an updated Animal Control Ordinance
Another action to be considered for the first time will amend the sewer use charge of the City by changing the minimum billable volume.
The Council will meet as a “Committee of the Whole” immediately following the regular meeting. Library Director Amy Birtell will report to the council on the library facilities update plan.
They also will discuss the Marina Operator contract.

The Clinton County Board will meet on Wednesday this week.
The board will canvass the election as their first order of business starting at 9 A-M.
The official business session will start at noon in the Board Office of the County Administration building.
At 2:30 p.m. the Board will move into a work session to discuss implementation of Phase 2 of the Clinton County Government DeWitt Annex renovations; this will include Sheriff Rick Lincoln, the building maintenance manager and the County Board of Supervisors.
