Unemployment rate
(Clinton) -- Increasing employment levels are shown in the latest Workforce Development report
While the workforce increased the number of people employed in Clinton also increased and the jobless rate declined in November.
In a report from Iowa Workforce Development the November unemployment rate in Clinton County is 5%. That’s down from 5.2% in October. The report shows there are 250 more people employed in November compared to October and the labor force was also up by 200 people.
In the city of Clinton the unemployment rate in November dropped from October’s 5.6 to 5.3%. The number of people employed also increased by 130 while the labor force increased by 80 people.
The statewide unemployment rate in November was 4.9% in the report. That was down from 5.1% in October.
