County Board Chair chosen
(Clinton County) -- County Board agrees to go out of order for chairman at the request of the member who would have been the chair this year
The Clinton County Board agreed to go out of rotation for the chairman’s position at the request of board member Jill Davisson. It would have been her ‘turn’ in the rotation, but she thanked her fellow members John Staszewski and Brian Schmidt-who was the chair this year for the help and support while her husband had some health issues.
At this morning’s meeting Davisson asked Staszewski to be the chair this year and that would allow Schmidt to campaign and not be the chair and she would consider the ‘chair’ next year. She said “Kevin (her husband) has come a long ways; he still has a ways to go.”
The board was in agreement to make the change.
Davisson agreed to be the vice-chair of the board for this year.
The county board adopted other standard first of the year resolutions.
