Potential Marina Operators
(Clinton) -- Council Committee chooses finalists for marina management
Three potential marina operators are being invited to make presentations to the Clinton City Council’s City Services Committee.
There were five applicants submitting proposals for consideration.
After five years the city did not renew the contract with the current operator in hopes of developing a better contract. The current proposal also calls for the operator the manage the campground in riverfront park.
The committee wanted to hear more from the city’s proposal to operate the marina, also from Matt Prescott, who currently operates the Candlelight Restaurant on the riverfront and from Doug’s Mobile Marina from LeClaire.
The plan would be to have each applicant make presentations to the committee one day next week with meetings at 10 AM at 1 PM and 3 PM.
The date has not been set.
