An arrest has been made in the deaths of a Clinton woman and her son-found dead after a fire in their apartment.
22 year old Angel Herman and her two year old son were found in their apartment at 202 North Bluff early in the morning on December 16th. Investigators ruled their deaths were homicides and the fire was
arson.
This morning, Clinton Police chief Brian Guy announced the arrest of suspect Dameon Tucker in the case and he’s charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of arson in the first degree.
The court affidavit states that Angel Herman died of blunt force trauma and incised wounds and two year Cyrus Shoup died of smoke inhalation.>An arrest has been made in the deaths of a Clinton woman and her son-found dead after a fire in their apartment.

The court affidavit states that Angel Herman died of blunt force trauma and incised wounds and two year Cyrus Shoup died of smoke inhalation.
The court paper also states that Tucker was interview several times and provided an alibi and information since discredited by the investigation. Also that motel keys located within the crime scene were linked to Tucker. The affidavit also stated that D-N-A testing showed the presence of Angel Herman’s blood on Tucker’s coat and shoe.
Clinton County Attorney Mike Wolf says the family has been notified of the arrest. But, Wolf said he could not comment on the case..
Tucker is being held on one-million dollar bond.
