Robbery investigation
(Clinton) -- Pizza delivery person tells police that suspects hit him with a brick and stole the pizza he was delivering
A pizza delivery person was hit with a brick and had the pizza he was delivering stolen in an incident last night. Clinton police are investigating the reported robbery.
Police report that at ten o’clock last night (Sunday) officers responded to 847 4th Avenue South and met with a pizza delivery driver. That delivery person told officers that he was delivering a pizza to 847 4th Avenue South when he was approached from behind and suspects hit him with a brick. The victim stated the two individuals then took the food he was attempting to deliver. The suspects then used the brick to break out the rear window of the victim’s vehicle and fled the area.
The victim was treated at the Mercy Medical Center for injuries sustained in the robbery.
