Meetings this week

(Clinton area) -- Here is a tentative schedule of governmental and related meetings this week

The Clinton County Board meets in their Monday morning business session starting at 9:15. The meeting will be held at the County Administration building.

------

On Tuesday it’s the regular business meeting of the Clinton City Council. On the business agenda there is only one business item. That’s the formal approval of the long term control plan consent order amendment. At a previous discussion on the amendment it was described as giving the city more flexibility in the plan and setting the 25 year time frame to reduce combined sewer overflows into the river.

During the committee of the whole session the council will discuss proposed updates to the animal control ordinance and noise control ordinance. Also on that discussion session agenda is a red flag policy for the city to allow the city to collect social security numbers, specifically for renters, to be able to collect sewer fees

The meeting is Tuesday night at seven at city hall.

------

The Clinton City Council City Services Committee meets Wednesday at 1:30. That committee will hear an update from Recreation Director Gregg Obren on possible cooperation with the Symphony of Lights organizers-also updates on making sure street lights are operating, the sale of city property and an update on the solid waste program and options to resolve fee collection for the program.

--------

The various governmental bodies will meet in their regular intergovernmental discussion session. That meeting will be Thursday at 5 pm at Clinton City Hall. The groups discuss various areas of cooperation and updates on projects that impact the area.

----

Also on Thursday there will be another community input meeting for the city of Clinton. The session is being held to gather input from citizens. The meetings are being held in each of the wards and for each at-large council meeting. The Thursday meeting is being hosted by Council member Charlie Mulholland at 7 pm at the Ericksen Center. The City Administrator will be in attendance to discuss various city issues.

--------

The Riverbend School Board meets in a special session on Thursday. That meeting has a couple of items on the agenda. One item is under the head of heath and life safety and related to a sewer smell in the Fulton High School restrooms. The other item on the agenda is a closed session for personel issues and possible action on in the public meeting after that session.

The meeting is at 7 P-M on Thursday.
