Another HOT Day
(Clinton) -- 101 was the high on Wednesday
Some thunderstorm activity overnight may cool things off---but not before we had a high of 101 yesterday (Wednesday). Official weather observer Jim Blaess says that was not a record for the date-that is 105 set in July 1940 on July 25th.
But, Blaess says that was the fifth day with 100 degree or higher temperatures this month and that appears to be the most days with 100 degree readings since July of 1936 when there was 13. August of 1988 had four days with temperatures in the triple digits and that is the next on the list Blaess says he can find.
Including the days with 90 or above, Blaess says there have been 16 days with 90 or above this month.
