RAGBRAI Road Closures and Detour Routes
(Clinton) -- Some streets will be closed and others with limited access for the arrival of the THOUSANDS of bikers on Saturday-here is the official list of street closings and more from the city
On Saturday, July 28, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., RAGBRAI riders will end their week-long journey through Iowa in Clinton. Due to this event, several Clinton city streets will be closed to all vehicle traffic during this time frame.
Closures will exist on the following city streets:
Mill Creek Parkway from Main Avenue to 13th Avenue North
19th Avenue N.W. from Mill Creek Parkway to Springdale Drive-
Springdale Drive from 19th Avenue N.W. to North Bluff Blvd.-North Bluff Blvd. from 4th Avenue North to 7th Avenue North-7th Avenue North from North Bluff Blvd. to North 3rd Street-North 3rd Street from 7th Avenue North to 9th Avenue North-
9th Avenue North from North 3rd Street to Riverview Drive-Riverview Drive from 6th Avenue North to 9th Avenue North
Due to these closures, traffic will be detoured to 2nd Street, 2nd Avenue South, and 13th Avenue North. Also during this time, several side streets along the route will be open to local traffic only and closed to through traffic. There will be no parking allowed during the event along any of the street closures listed above. The Clinton Police Department will control traffic along the entire RAGBRAI route.
Delays are to be expected throughout town during this busy event. Please use alternative routes as necessary.
