Meeting Schedule

(Clinton) -- Here is the tentative list of meeting this week of area governmental bodies

The Fulton City Council has a business meeting Monday. The session will start at 5:30 at city hall.

On Tuesday the Clinton City Council’s Rules and Regulation Committee has their monthly meeting. On the agenda is the parking issue in the area of Clinton High School. The committee has discussed the complaints of some neighbors about students parking on the street near the school and limiting their access. The discussion will continue. Also on the agenda is another parking issue near a school. The committee will hear about issues in the area of 27th Avenue North near the Eagle Heights Elementary School.

The committee will meet on August 7th at 9:30 in the morning at city hall.

Tuesday night is the business meeting of the Camanche City Council. The council will consider the second reading of the ordinance allowing chickens to be raised on certain property within the Camanche city limits.

The meeting will being at 6 o’clock Tuesday at Camanche City Hall.

The Clinton County Board will be meeting on Wednesday this week and not for their usual Monday session.

At the 9:15 AM meeting on August 8th the board will consider bids for the renovations at the building in DeWitt to house some governmental operations. The county purchased the former Candlelight Restaurant building for the Sherriff’s Department annex and will also have space for some other operations.

The Clinton County Area Solid Waste Agency Board meets Thursday evening in a regular monthly session.

The staff of the Clinton public library will have some staff training on Tuesday-August 7th and the library will be closed from 9 AM to 1 PM on Tuesday.
