Large Item Pickup Set in Clinton
(Clinton) -- The City of Clinton will be conducting it’s “Large item pickup” starting Monday the 13th.
The City will have the pickup beginning Monday for residents who live SOUTH of First Avenue (including Main Avenue). Residents will need to leave their large items out on Sunday night before the scheduled collection time.
For residents who live NORTH of First Avenue, the large item collection will begin on Monday, August 20th.
Items that will be taken include furniture, carpeting, large toys (such as dismantled swing sets, swimming pools, bikes), household building and remodeling materials (doors, windows, cabinets, lumber, pieces or sections not to exceed 4-foot by 8-foot. The City will NOT take concrete rubble, computer monitors, computer towers, copiers, printers, televisions, roofing materials, appliances or tires.
City crews will be taking only the items that will not fit in a City of Clinton Solid waste cart. Total of items taken will not exceed one small pickup load per home.
The City has announced that Large item pickup rules will be rigorously enforced.
