Clinton County house fire
(Clinton County) -- Local Red Cross volunteers helping a Clinton County family-information on the incident comes from the Red Cross statements
The Gateway Area Red Cross is assisting a Clinton County family after a Sunday fire at their home.
In response to a fire on the 100 block of South Toronto Street in Wheatland, Iowa, the Gateway Area Chapter of the American Red Cross is working to ensure that the fire victims’ emergency needs are being met. Basic human needs such as a place to stay, food to eat, necessary medications or health items, and clothes to wear are provided first. Red Cross mental health counselors are also available to assist the fire victims and their families. The Red Cross is currently assisting two adults.
All Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by the voluntary donations
