More hot weather & more early school dismissals
(Clinton) -- Highs in the mid-90's today prompted some area schools to dismiss early today (Thursday)
Clinton School Superintendent Deb Olson announced that the Lyons and Washington Middle Schools will be dismissing at 1 pm today.
There will be NO afterschool activities at either building.
The district’s system to notify parents was used yesterday to alert parents to the early dismissal and will be used again this morning for a reminder.
The elementary schools, CHS, and Lincoln Campus will be running a normal school day on Thursday, August 30,
The Northeast Schools have also announced an early dismissal for today-based on each buildings early dismissal schedule.
The Central School in DeWitt has also announced an two hour early dismissal due to the heat.
