7th season for city deer management program
(Clinton) -- Program to reduce the deer population in the city wraps up another year.
There were 51 deer harvested in this season’s city ‘deer management program.’ That’s down from the 58 harvested last year.
Figures from the Clinton program showed there were 27 hunters qualified to hunt deer in the city in the approved areas.
There were 44 female, five male antler less and 2 bucks harvested this season.
This was the seventh year for the program started to reduce the number of deer in city limits.
