Contested Races On The Ballot for Clinton City Council & School Board Seats (link to all county-wide elections added)

There are contested races for Clinton City Council seats and Clinton School Board seats.  Thursday was the deadline for submitting nomination petitions for the races.  This is the first time the school board elections will be held on the same date as city elections.

In the city council election there will be a three way race for the Second Ward Seat.  Current office holder Lynn McGraw filed to run again and two others – Cyara Peterson and Andre Ruby are also seeking that seat.

Current Fourth Ward Council Member Paul Gassman is seeking another term and Rhonda Kearns is also seeking that seat.

There is also one at-large seat up for election on the City Council.  Cody Seeley is running again while Gregg Obren also is seeking that council seat.

There will also be a contest for Mayor and incumbent Mark Vulich is running again and Scott Maddasion also filed petitions to run for the position.

There are three seats available on the Clinton School Board.  The three current members holding those seats have filed for re-election with another candidate also seeking one of the spots.  Jenny Green, Mike House and Mike Pelham are seeking re-election and Brianna Varner is also seeking of the Clinton School Board seats.
