Third Ward Council member Seth Odor Resigns From Council

One of the first actions of the Clinton City Council next month will be filling a Third Ward Council seat.

Council member Seth Odor has submitted his resignation from the seat effective January 1st.

The council has the choice on filling the seat with an appointment or calling an election while citizens can petition for an election to fill the seat.  The council has 40 days to fill the vacancy or by February 9th.

In announcing the resignation of Odor as the Third Ward Council member the city also announced that applications for position are being accepted until January 21st.  The term expires at the end of December 2021.

The council has not met to discuss the vacancy issue.  But a public hearing on the issue.is being set for January 14th at 5 pm preceding the council meeting on that day.  Comments can be made at that session or in writing to City Hall.
