New Year’s Holiday Governmental Schedule Adjustments

The New Year’s Holiday means governmental operations are generally closed at all levels.

Clinton City Hall will be closed on December 31st and January First.  Normal hours resume on January Second.

The Clinton Public Library will also be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.  The Clinton Police Department office will be closed on January First.

In other city holiday adjustments, the Parks & Recreation Department Administrative Office will be closed on December 31, 2019 and January 1, 2020.  The Ericksen Community Center Lower Level and Fitness Area will be open until 3pm on December 31, 2019 and will be closed all day on January 1, 2020.

There will also be M-T-A changes for the holiday. Regular bus service will end at 5PM on Tuesday, December 31, 2019. Special service will be provided for the holiday from 6:00 PM on December 31, 2019 until 2:00 AM on January 1, 2020. Riders will need to call the MTA to get a ride. MTA staff will ask for a pickup address and destination address, then they will be given an estimated pickup time, they will need to be ready and watch for the bus.  There will be no regular bus service on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 and the MTA office will be closed.

The garbage and recycling pickup will follow the same pattern as during the Christmas week.  The Monday and Tuesday routes will be picked up as normal.  But the Wednesday route will NOT be collected and will be collected on Thursday – the Thursday route picked on Friday and the Friday route moved to Saturday.

Clinton County offices will be closed on New Year’s Day.

 

Camanche City Hall will also be closed on Wednesday for the Holiday.

 

The Clinton County Solid Waste Agency will close the landfill operations at noon on Tuesday and will be closed on Wednesday.
