49th Winter Travelogue Series

DeWitt Noon Lions Club has started our 49th Travelogue Series.
Shows are 3 and 7 p.m. at the
Operahouse Theatre in downtown DeWitt.
 
April 18 –  Peru by Richard Cole of Eldridge 


Dick and Shirley Cole traveled to Peru in 2005.  Peru is an ancient country, making it a histori-cal and beautiful destination. They spent six days in the Amazon jungle, traveling 100 percent by water in all sizes of vessels.  The jungle facilities were very primitive.  They even went fish-ing for piranha and made a meal of them. The next 14 days were in Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu.  Although Peru is not very mechanized, it provides a great trip with lots of good people and beautiful scenery.
