Do It Yourself decoration-making opportunities are abundant this holiday season at the Clinton Community College Maquoketa Center. Gather your friends and join us for a variety of classes in November and December. The CCC Maquoketa Center is located at 501 West Washington, Maquoketa, IA. For more information, call 563-652-5000.

Christmas Ball Ornament- Monday, November 16- 5:30-8:00PM- CCC Maquoketa Center, Cost: $15- Class #161558.

Get an early start on your holiday decorations. This round ball shaped ornament is woven mostly out of round reed with some flat reed accents. Inside your woven ball ornament you will secure a jingle bell, add the hanger and it is complete. Please bring your basketry tools.
A materials fee of $10 ( supplies for 2) is payable to the instructor at the time of class.

Fun with Frosting– Thursday, November 19- 6:00-7:00PM- CCC Maquoketa Center, Cost:$15- Class #158507

Just in time for the holidays! Learn firsthand from an expert cake decorator how to decorate cupcakes and cookies with frosting you can make at home. You even get to take some goodies home! All supplies and recipes included. Supplies fee of $5 is payable to the instructor at time of class.

Conifer Door Swag Workshop–Wednesday, December 2, 6:00-8:00PM- CCC Maquoketa Center, Cost:$15- Class #158512

Create your own fresh conifer holiday door swag. Then decorate it with a handmade bow and pinecones. All supplies included. Bring your own gardening gloves and favorite pruning shears.

Snowman Basket– Tuesday, December 8, 5:30-8:30PM- CCC Maquoketa Center, Cost:$15- Class #161559

Come and weave a cute snowman basket! It is woven using white washed reed with some dyed black reed accents and trimmed with a scarf. A fun decorative holiday basket to have. Please bring your standard basketry tools. A materials fee of $18 is payable to the instructor at time of class.
