Restorative justice seeks to balance the judicial scales with an organized approach and open dialogue between the victim and the criminal with the goal of creating harmony within the community. In our November episode of “Exploring Intersections: Catholic Sisters on Racism, Migration and Climate”, our panelists will explore the challenges and actions we can take to ensure restorative justice for all.  Register to join us from 3:00-4:00 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, November 10, at www.exploringintersections.org.

Sister Janet Ryan, a Clinton Franciscan, will be one of the featured panelists. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Sister Janet ministers at Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation on Chicago’s South Side. Her ministry is one of restorative justice and nonviolence. She also tutors high school students. Sister Janet enjoys biking the short distance from her home to her ministry and Lake Michigan.
