Event Description:
Our country’s veterans need your help! Join us for a 60 minute presentation, and learn how your business can help make Clinton County a Home Base Iowa Community. Home Base Iowa is a one-of-a-kind program assisting veterans and transitioning service members. Currently, Iowa’s unemployment rate is under four percent, but businesses will always have a need for skilled workers. This program helps connect businesses, just like yours, with qualified veterans looking for career opportunities. Home Base Iowa’s private-public partnership provides a high level of commitment and resources for our veterans, transitioning service members and their families. Now it’s time for you to get involved. This is your opportunity to give back to those who have sacrificed everything for our freedom. In this short presentation, you’ll learn how to: Support veterans and their families during the stressful transition out of the service; Increase employment in Clinton County; Decrease veteran unemployment; Recruit high quality ready to work individuals to Clinton County; Find and employ veterans through Iowa Workforce Development

Presenter: Jason Kemp, Home Base Iowa Manager Find more information on HBI at www.HomeBaseIowa.gov
