Many Activities This Week at the Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center

The Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center, “Clinton, Iowa’s Children’s Museum!”, is preparing for festive holidays with a month of cheerful activities. On WOW Wednesday, get ready for Christmas by making your own special ornament.

Miss Jessica from Clinton County Conservation stops by during Funtime Friday to share her knowledge of the Red Tailed Hawk, and her love of animals. These programs are free with regular museum admission. Look out for the annual Gift Shop Holiday Sale now through December 23.

Wednesday, November 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. is WOW Wednesday, sponsored by US Bank. It’s time to start getting ready for Christmas, show your holiday spirit with this holiday ornament craft. This program is geared for school-aged kids and their families.

Friday, December 1, at 10 a.m., is Funtime Friday, sponsored by Clinton Kiwanis Club. Miss Jessica, from Clinton County Conservation, is swooping in to the Discovery Center. She will be here to share her knowledge of the Red Tailed Hawk, and her love of animals. A yummy snack is always included. This long-running program is designed for preschoolers and their grown-ups, although all age children are welcome.

It’s holiday shopping season, and the Discovery Center is showing it with their annual Holiday Gift Shop Sale. You’ll receive 10% off everything in the shop. Members get an extra 10%, for a total of 20% off all items. This special sale goes until December 23. Don’t miss this great opportunity to get something for someone special.

Regular admission to the Discovery Center is $4 per person ages two to 64, $3 per person ages 65 and older, free for children one and younger, and free for members of the children’s museum. Hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sundays 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center is a non-profit children’s museum whose mission is to provide a safe and positive environment for families to discover the world by exploring arts, culture, literacy and science through educational programs and interactive exhibits.
