Richard Harwood will review and critique a variety of movie productions in terms of scientific truths.  Prepare to have an entertaining, yet educational evening as Harwood examines the “fact or fiction” of Hollywood productions in light of real world astronomy.

Professor Harwood earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Geology at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.  Richard served in the US Peace Corps for two years in Central America.  As a volunteer, he worked with the Geology Mapping program in Honduras.  After additional studies at Rutgers University, Professor Harwood taught Earth Science courses at Black Hawk College for 23 years.  Richard is currently a freelance Earth Science lecturer.

The Volunteer Millers of de Immigrant windmill will be hosting Astronomy Goes to Hollywood at the Windmill Cultural Center on Monday, September 25 at 6:00pm.  The center is located at 111 – 10th Avenue in downtown Fulton, across from the authentic Dutch windmill.  These programs are supported by a grant from the D.S.
