Mike Cyze of ESPN Outdoor Radio Network will be on hand to emcee the “Sportsman’s” banquet at Manny’s on February 27th in Savanna Ill. Mike will be welcoming area outdoorsman and sportsman to one of the largest outdoor banquets. Hunting families are encouraged to bring their kids as 15 guns will be given away to young hunters that night. The event will have drawings for the ladies. Activities for the kids are planned to keep them busy. Several sponsors have donated sporting goods to be given to the kids during the night. The organizers of the event hopes this effort will help keep the tradition of hunting, fishing, and sport shooting in everyone’s mind.
Tickets to the event a buffet dinner in Manny’s banquet room. Adam Johnson from Miles Iowa is donating his services for the event and will be selling everything from wildlife art, decoys and sporting goods. Many gun raffles are planned for the adults. Wether a person is a duck hunter, deer hunter or is interested in conceal carry guns the banquet should be enjoyable for all.
The banquet is hosted by the Mississippi Flyway chapter of Waterfowl USA. The conservation group uses area fundraiser for area conservation efforts. A membership ticket cost $55.00. Spouses and kids of member’s ticket prices is $20.00. Tickets are limited and can be purchased by calling Ron Kaufman at 309-887-4390. Doors open at 5:30 and ticket sales at the door will be limited.
