Stop the Bleed classes offer by Clinton County EMA along with Mercy Medical Center and Public Health

Event Details

The first 100 people to sign up will receive a Stop the Bleed kit to take with them.  This is a vacuum sealed kit that contains items that you can use to stop a major bleed including gloves, gauze, tourniquet, etc. I have attached the flyer to this email.  Please feel free to share  with anyone you know that may want to take the class.

This class will teach you skills that you may need in order to stop major bleeding from an injury.  You never know when some type of accident may happen to your family, friends or even yourself.  Being able to stop or control major bleeding before the ambulance arrives can sometimes be the difference between life and death.  Just like you hope you never have to use CPR or the Heimlich maneuver skills that you have learned, we hope that you never need to use your Stop the Bleed skills.  But, if that need ever arises, at least you know what to do.
