That Doggone Fulton Fall Festival and Muddy Mississippi Mutt March

Event Details

It’s time for a Fall Festival in Fulton, Illinois and it just so happens our friends at Midwest Pets for Life have some celebrating they want to do as well. So we decided it wouldn’t be too “ruff” to combine our efforts. An amazing time is sure to be had by all.

The festival runs from 9am to 4pm by De Immigrant Windmill & Cultural Center in Fulton. At 11:00 am the Muddy Mississippi Mutt March begins on the Clinton side of the north bridge. And what would entice all those perky pups to cross the bridge into Fulton you ask? Why the biggest hot dog ever of course! The parade will be led by the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile! All shapes and sizes of costumed canines will follow along as they attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most costumed dogs in a parade. Perhaps you have a Fido or a FiFi to join the effort! To register for the Muddy Mississippi Mutt March visit midwestpetsforlife.org or getmeregistered.com/MMMuttMarch.

On the Illinois side of the river Fulton is ready to host folks of every pet persuasion or none at all. We are pleased to welcome Grandiose, a jazz band from the Quad Cities and surrounding areas. Grandiose will entertain throughout the day. Fall Fest go-ers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs so that they may enjoy the band. Beginning at 9am food vendors, craft vendors, pet related displays, family friendly games, crafts and more will abound. The Fulton 4-H ers will be on hand to do some crafting as the Fulton Chamber of Commerce continues its tradition of pumpkin painting. A car show, pin-up contest, parade awards and more are also on tap for the day.

De Immigrant Windmill and Cultural Center are open 10am-5pm on Saturday the 30th and 1pm-5pm on Sunday, October 1st. Entry forms for the Windmill Cultural Center’s Children’s Bake-Off are still available with baked goods due on September 29th.
