The River Cities Quilt Guild

Event Details

The River Cities Quilt Guild will be meeting on Tuesday, November 17th. The guild will be meeting at Susan’s Calico Creations, 1108 4th Street, in Fulton, IL. The evening will begin with a short business meeting at 7 P.M., followed by show and tell demonstration by those present. The program for the November meeting will be a quilting workshop presented by Connie Barr.
The pattern for the workshop will be 3D Diamonds. The fabric needed for this quilt is 240 two and one-half inch by six and one-half inch strips. It is possible to get this number of strips from one fabric jelly roll or forty two and one-half inch strips times width of fabric. In order to create the diamond effect, 120 two and one-half inch squares of the same color are needed. It suggested that the border and binding fabric be the same color as the color used for the diamonds. Approximately two and one-fourth yards of fabric is needed for the diamonds, border, and binding. Participants should also bring a sewing machine and basic sewing kit.
The River Cities Quilt Guild is a group of quilters who gather on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 P.M. In addition to quilting games, other programs include demonstrations, trunk shows, and guest speakers. For additional information, please contact Julie at 563-242-0237.
