Carroll County Extension Master Gardeners will offer a program on Easy Care Native Plants at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 8 at the Thomson Library. Why should we consider easy care native plants? Many gardeners are interested in having native plants in their gardens, but they may not be sure where to start in terms of selection and care. Easy care natives give those gardeners a good starting point. They can select plants that need relatively little maintenance and once they feel more confident in their use of natives, they can select plants that are more challenging. There are no fees to attend but registration is appreciated by calling the library at 815-259-2480.
