Camanche School’s ‘Storm’ Logo Unveiled

A new series of Camanche School logos were unveiled to follow the switch to a new mascot.

The Camanche School’s retired the native American mascot and ‘The Storm’ was chosen as the new mascot.

Activities Director Meg Shebler showed the School Board what has been developed for the logo in conjunction with the local business Adcraft.

Shebler said the use a lightning bolt was the symbol of power and strength that was part of the choice of the new name.

The Camanche School’s Activities Director says there’s a block letter type logo that will be used in many areas such as the gym floor.

Shebler says there is still some research about trademarking the logos and how that is handled and whether the district has a brand name policy.  She added that the district will oversee the development of any sport or activity specific Storm logo.

The Camanche School’s Activities Director says some new items should be available before school starts.
