Governmental Offices Closed For The Thanksgiving Holiday & Final Week for Yard Waste Pickup

Governmental operations at all levels will be closed on Thursday for the holiday.

Clinton City Hall, and Building and Neighborhood Services will be closed on Thursday, November 25, 2021 and Friday, November 26, 2021 in observance of Thanksgiving.

The Ericksen Community Center will be closed Thursday, November 25, 2021, but the Fitness Area will remain open with FOB access. On Friday, November 26, 2021, the Parks & Recreation Administrative office at the Ericksen Community Center will remain closed, but the Fitness Center and Gymnasiums will be open.

The MTA Administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, November 25, 2021 and Friday, November 26, 2021. There will be no bus service on Thursday, November 25, 2021. All bus routes and para transit services will be operational on Friday, November 26, 2021.

The Police Department lobby will be closed on Thursday, November 25, 2021 and Friday, November 26, 2021.

The Library will be closed on Thursday, November 25, 2021, Friday, November 26, 2021 and Saturday, November 27, 2021.

Garbage, yard waste and recycling collection will be delayed by one day starting with Thursday’s collection. Thursday’s route will be collected on Friday, November 26, 2021 and Friday’s route will be collected on Saturday, November 27, 2021.


Clinton County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday for the holiday.


The Clinton County Solid Waste Agency will be closed on Thursday.  The landfill operation will result on regular hours on Friday.

With the approach of the winter season, the City of Clinton will be ending yard waste collections for the year. Yard Waste collections will end the last full week of November (22nd thru 27th). If temperatures should fall and remain below freezing, or we have a snow event/snow emergency, then yard waste collections may end sooner.

We will resume yard waste collections in April, 2022.
