Local Unemployment Rates Drop

(Clinton County) – Local unemployment rates continued a downward trend in the Iowa Workforce Development Agency report for October-the latest local statistics available.

That report showed that in Clinton County and Clinton there were more people considered employed with a corresponding increase in the workforce and fewer considered unemployed.

The Clinton County October unemployment rate was 3.8 percent.  That’s down from 3.9 percent in September and 4.5 percent a year ago in October.

In the city-the unemployment rate dropped from 4.4 percent in September to 4.3 percent in October. See Oct 2021 data
