Local unemployment Rate Declines

Local unemployment rates continue a downward trend in the November report – the latest local data available from the Iowa Workforce Development Agency.

That report shows the unemployment rate for Clinton County in November as 3.5 percent.  That’s compared to 3.8 percent in October and 4.8 percent one year ago.

The report showed a drop in those considered unemployed and an increase of those employed with a smaller increase in the workforce.

In Clinton the report showed similar data with the unemployment rate at 3.7 percent in November.  That’s a drop from 4.3 percent in October.
