CCDA Aid City In Ambulance Addition (City submitted statement & image)

The Clinton Fire Department has seen an increase in ambulance responses over the last couple of years and realized the need to add another ambulance to its fleet. The new ambulance will help support the increase in calls and help reduce response times. The ambulance module is a 2010 Lifeline that was totally rebuilt and then mounted on a 2022 Ford E-450 chassis. The new ambulance features a power lift cot system to help reduce injuries to firefighters. Klocke Emergency Vehicles from Sterling, Illinois provided the new ambulance and equipment.

The Clinton Fire Department would like to thank the Clinton County Development Association (CCDA) for helping fund the purchase of the fourth ambulance. The $75,000 CCDA grant went a long way in funding the $180,000 ambulance project.

The Department thanks the CCDA for their continued support in the Department’s service to the citizens of Clinton, and the surrounding areas
