Meet Lumberkings New Announcer

CLINTON – March 13, 2023 – The Clinton LumberKings named Andrés Tejeda as their new Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations.

Tejeda, a Chicago, Illinois native, has experience extending from local high school athletics to the professional level. He is 2022 graduate of the University of St. Thomas (MN) with a degree in Journalism. Tejeda started his broadcast career at his alma mater calling hockey, basketball, baseball, volleyball, and soccer. He was behind the microphone when the Tommies made the jump from NCAA Division III to Division I.

While in college, he interned with the Minnesota Twins Radio Network as a production assistant. Immediately after graduation, Tejeda worked for the California Winter League, which transitioned into a full-time role with the Frontier League, an MLB Partner League, as a member of their front office. He spent the 2022 season assisting the Frontier League with video projects, social media management and game-day reporting.

“I am very excited to join the LumberKings and be a part of this historic franchise,” Tejeda said. “Clinton has a deep and passionate fan base. I cannot wait to experience it.”

LumberKings General Manager Ted Tornow added, “There was a lot of interest in this broadcaster position, but Andrés stood out with an impressive background. We look forward to having him on board very soon.”

All LumberKings games are broadcast on WCCI 100.3 FM or www.lumberkings.com or live-streamed on Prospect League TV.

The 2023 Season Opener is Wednesday, May 31st versus the Normal CornBelters here at NelsonCorp Field. Game time is 6:30 pm – gates open at 5:30 pm.
