Event Description:
Join Rebecca Hanna, a Norwegian style wood carver, and make your very own carved piece of decorative wood! These classes will cover the basics of how to carve in the Norwegian kroting style. Add decorative lines and shapes to your own piece of wood, or for an additional price pick up a piece of pre-painted wood at the museum! There will be two sessions: one on Friday, June 16th from 4 pm-7 pm and another the next day, Saturday, June 17th from 10 am-1pm. Projects should be able to be started and finished in the time allotted. Each class is limited to 20 students and is first come, first serve! Please arrive 15 minutes before class starts. The price is $5 for admission. For this price, you must bring your own piece of basswood, or another soft wood, pre-sanded and painted for the class. An additional $5 can be spent to pick up wood already sanded and painted at the museum. Payment is taken at museum before class begins. All other necessary items will be supplied by the museum and Rebecca.
