DeWitt Noon Lions present the Wonders of Australia

The DeWitt Noon Lions present the Wonders of Australia Tuesday, March 19. Wayne and Becky Gluesing traveled to Australia on a 12 day KWQC Holiday Vacation Tour with Sharon DeRycke and 32 other travelers. The trip began with 2 days in Sydney including a tour of the Sydney Opera House.  From Sydney it was on to Carins in northern Australia where the day was spent at the Great Barrier Reef and a scenic railway tour.  A travel day through Brisbane on the way to O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat for a couple of days enjoying the rainforest. The next stop was a day at the Australia Zoo established by Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. The final stop was in Coloundra for some time on the Sunshine Coast. It was a trip of a lifetime that was enjoyed by the entire group. 

Shows are at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the DeWitt Operahouse in downtown DeWitt. Every effort will be made to present the Travelogue on the day scheduled, however if inclement weather requires a cancellation, the information will be posted at the theater or contact 563-370-9394. If school is canceled or scheduled to be released early by 1 p.m., Travelogue will also be canceled. Doors open at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. A suggested $5 donations is requested. Refreshments are available for purchase.
The $5 suggested donation, the proceeds support local community projects such as Referral Center, Library, KidSight, Diabetes Awareness, Camp Courageous and Camp Hertko Hollow.
