Crawl, explore and discover the secrets carved by time as we journey through the cool, quiet heart of the earth. September 2nd ~ Monarch Tagging Wagon Ride ~ 1:30 PM ~ Lost Nation Public Hunting ~ Join us for a fun afternoon of catching, tagging and releasing Monarch butterflies! We will meet at the parking lot and then head out on the wagon to find the Monarchs! Please dress to be in and out of prairie areas and bring plenty of water! Space is limited, sign-up by calling 563-847-7202. If you are interested in a later time that day, feel free to call/text 563-212-0955.

September 5th ~ Eden Valley Nature Center Season Finale ~ 10 AM – 2 PM ~ This could potentially be the last time to experience the nature center in 2026.

September 5th ~ Bear Creek Rubber Duck Race ~ 2 PM ~ Eden Valley Campground ~ Join us for a fun afternoon of rubber duck racing at Eden Valley! Meet at the campground host site in the modern campground to sign up and send your duck down Bear Creek. Kids will receive a prize from the treasure tote, while adults will compete for a chance to win free nights of camping.

8th ~ Sun Printing with Turmeric ~ Noon & 4 PM ~ Rock Creek ~ Join a naturalist and learn how to make beautiful prints with sunlight and plant pigments! Sun printing requires a processing time that is dependent on weather. Plan to be at Rock Creek Marina & Campground for a few hours. The cost is $5. Registration is limited and required via mycountyparks.com. There are two time slots available, one at noon and the other at 4pm. For questions, call or text Emma at 563-357-0759.
