Saturday June 13th ~ Fishing Has No Boundaries Youth Event ~ 9:30 – Noon ~ Lake Malone ~ Fishing Has No Boundaries, Eastern Iowa Chapter and Clinton County Conservation are partnering up once again for our youth with disabilities fishing event! If you know of a child living with a disability, please consider signing them up for a morning of fun and fishing at Lake Malone. The cost for this event is $15/child and registration is required. Tuesday, June 16th ~ Herping Experience! ~ 5 PM ~ Ringneck Marsh Wildlife Area ~ Join a Naturalist to learn about reptiles and amphibians. Explore what makes a good habitat and look for wild herps firsthand! This event will include a hike so please dress accordingly and bring water, bug spray, and be ready for a GREAT TIME! Friday, June 26th – Saturday, June 27th ~ BiCan BioBlitz ~ 2 PM – 2 PM ~ Wapsi River Center and Sherman Park ~ Join BiCAN for our 2026 BioBlitz at the Wapsi River Environmental Education Center and Sherman Park! From June 26th at 2:00 PM through June 27th at 2:00 PM, we’ll be teaming up with experts and community members to document as many plant and animal species as possible during this exciting 24-hour biodiversity event. Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or just curious about the outdoors, this is a great opportunity to explore local habitats, learn species identification skills and contribute to real scientific data collection. In addition to the BioBlitz, we’ll be offering FREE public activities throughout the event, including guided hikes, nature talks, interactive stations and more! Fun for all ages!
