Chalk It Up Clinton Challenge Kick Off Set for July 18th
Clinton, Iowa – July 16, 2025 – Clinton residents are invited to participate in an exciting new city-wide challenge designed to infuse the community with kindness, positivity, and hope. The Chalk It Up Clinton challenge, presented by Living Peace 365, encourages exploration of the Clinton area through creative expression.
The challenge officially kicks off on July 18, 2025 at 7:00p.m., preceding the Community Movie Night at the Sawmill Museum. Attendees at the kickoff will have the chance to be a randomly selected participant to win a fantastic gift bag, bursting with summer-themed goodies.
Throughout the summer, community members are encouraged to discover hidden gems in Clinton and leave their mark. From the Sawmill museum to the dike along Riverview Drive, from Whimsy’s TEApothecary to Brown’s Shoe Fit, and from YWCA Clinton and Happy Joe’s Pizza to Homer’s Deli and Sweetheart Bakery, from Don’s Jewelry to Orr’s Beauty Supply and more, there are plenty of places to explore. Participating businesses will provide chalk and instructions, or individuals can use their own chalk to transform public spaces with uplifting messages. The challenge welcomes a variety of artistic expressions, from inspirational quotes to encouraging artworks, or a combination of both, all aimed at spreading good vibes.
Upon completing an artwork, participants are encouraged to share a photo on Facebook, following and tagging Living Peace 365 and providing a clue for others to discover the art. The challenge is easily shareable, and participants are encouraged to invite friends and family to join in and expand this growing movement of unity.
