to Raise Funds for Childhood Cancer Research
With a Goal to Raise $2,500, Over 10 Local Volunteers Will Go Bald
What: The Rusty Barrel Lounge in Clinton, IA, will host a St. Baldrick’s Foundation signature head-shaving event to raise funds for lifesaving childhood cancer research on Sunday, August 10. With a goal of raising $2,500, over 10 participants will shave their head to support the Foundation’s mission to fund the best research to find cures and better treatments for kids with cancer.

Why: What started as a challenge over 25 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to save kids with cancer. But our work isn’t done. One in five children diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. will not survive. Those who do survive often suffer long-term effects from their treatment. As the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is leading the charge to Conquer Kids’ Cancer.
