Beginning Monday, October 27, 2025, Miller Trucking will temporarily close Bluff Boulevard from S. 14th Street to 7th Avenue South to perform infrastructure work on behalf of Iowa American Water Company. The closure is expected to last through Monday, November 10, 2025, weather permitting.
To accommodate the closure, a detour route will be clearly posted:
Southbound traffic will be detoured at 2nd Avenue South
Northbound traffic will be detoured at College Avenue
The full detour will route traffic from 2nd Avenue South to S. 18th Street
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes during this period. The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as improvements are made to local water infrastructure.
