Miller Trucking, on behalf of Iowa American Water, will be closing Thorwaldsen Place between Bluff Blvd and 2nd Ave S on Thursday, October 30, 2025, for one day.
Beginning Friday, October 31, 2025, the southbound lane of Thorwaldsen Place between 2nd Ave S and Bluff Blvd will be closed. Southbound traffic will be detoured via 2nd Ave S to S. 18th Street. This closure will remain in effect through Friday, November 7, 2025, weather permitting.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes during this period. The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as improvements are made to local water infrastructure.
