Structure Fire – 731 West Deer Creek Road

Clinton Fire Department units were dispatched to 731 West Deer Creek Road for a structure fire at 0223. CFD responded with two Engines, one Ladder truck, one Tanker, a command vehicle, three ambulances, and thirteen firefighters. Fulton Fire was dispatched on automatic aid with a Tanker.

Crews arrived to find a single-family residential dwelling and a garage fully involved in fire with total collapse already having occurred. Fire crews were able to release dogs from the fenced in yard getting them away from further heat exposure. Crews used multiple hose lines to contain the fire to the property of origin. Hydrants were not available in this area therefore water had to be shuttled by tankers to the scene. The fire buildings were a complete loss. Crews remained on scene for several hours hitting hot spots and investigating.

Crews were assisted on scene by Clinton County Communications, Clinton Police, Fulton Fire, and Alliant Energy. Camanche Fire Department ambulance did handle a separate and unrelated emergency medical call in Clinton while crews were on the fire scene. The fire is under investigation at this time. There were no injuries during the incident. No additional information is available at the time of the press release.
