CLINTON, IA — The Clinton LumberKings are proud to announce a special evening with internationally acclaimed recycling artist Thomas Dambo on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at NelsonCorp Field.
Dambo, widely considered the world’s leading recycle artist, will deliver a whimsical and inspiring presentation sharing his journey, creative process, and global impact through storytelling, images, and video.
The event coincides with an exciting new public art initiative led by The Sawmill Museum, bringing Dambo’s iconic troll sculptures to Clinton—marking Iowa’s first installation and the first along the Mississippi River.
Dambo has created over 150 giant troll sculptures across 17 countries, engaging thousands of volunteers and attracting millions of visitors worldwide.
“This is an extraordinary opportunity for Clinton,” said Ari Lewerenz, President of The Sawmill Museum Board. “This project will help position our community as a hub for arts and culture while attracting visitors from across the region.”
