Clinton Police Department and Clinton Humane Society Contract Agreement

The Clinton Police Department and the Clinton Humane Society are proud to be working together under a new agreement that allows continued animal services in our community. While there is still work to be done, this collaboration represents a meaningful step forward in maintaining public safety and care for animals.
What you need to know:
– Animals can now ONLY be brought to the shelter by law enforcement
– Services are limited to DOGS ONLY (no cats will be accepted)
Dogs may be accepted in situations such as:
• Bite cases requiring quarantine (some may still be safely done at home)
• Owner arrest or hospitalization
• Abuse or neglect investigations (up to 6 dogs)
• Dangerous dogs running at large
• Deceased dogs
Important: Residents cannot bring animals directly to the shelter.
