On Tuesday, July 28, 2026 via Special City Council meeting, the City Council has appointed Police Chief Kevin Gyrion to serve as Interim City Administrator, effective immediately.
The appointment was made by the City Council to ensure continuity in leadership and the ongoing delivery of municipal services during the transition period. Chief Gyrion will assume the responsibilities of Interim City Administrator while continuing to work with city staff, department heads, elected officials, and community partners to maintain efficient and effective city operations.
As Interim City Administrator, Gyrion will oversee the day-to-day operations of the city, implement Council policies and directives, and support the delivery of services to residents and businesses. During this interim appointment, Gyrion will continue to serve as Chief of Police while assuming the additional responsibilities of City Administrator.
